How High School Coaches can use Holiday Tournaments to get Players Exposure
The day after Thanksgiving, I drove up to Murfreesboro, TN to attend the Girl Powher Showcases Tennessee Turkey Jamm. I’ve attended this event every year since it started right here in my back yard at Central High School in Memphis, TN. I felt there was no need to stop now. I’m always impressed to see the talent level of the players and teams participating in this event.
I only wish more Memphis area teams were able to attend. During the two days, I was surrounded by every major high school girls basketball scout, evaluator, and media source that I know of Dan Olson of Girls Basketball Report, Bret McCormick of All Star Girls Report, Kenny Kalina and Bob Corwin of Girls Basketball Insider, Mark Lewis and Prentice Beverly of Blue Star Media, Leslie Toole of Mississippi Girls Basketball Report and Brandon Clay of Peach State Basketball.

What Kind of High School Players Do Womens College Basketball Coaches Recruit – Jim Foster, Ohio State
I was reading through the Eastbay Team Services catalog recently. On the front of the catalog is Ohio State’s basketball coaches, Thad Matta and Jim Foster.
If you receive the team services catalog, you know that it functions as a catalog and a magazine with articles.
One of the questions both coaches answered is Traits that they look for in Student-Athlete Recruits.
This is Coach Foster’s response:

How ABCs Scandal Television Series Relate to Your Girls Basketball Recruitment
I don’t watch many television shows but on Thursdays I am locked in on ABC’s Scandal.
I recently learned about the TV series from friends on Facebook. So I decided to check it out. Now I’m addicted. I love television dramas that keep me guessing and wondering what’s gonna happen next.
To make a long story short, Scandal is about Olivia Pope, a former communications director to the President of the United States, who left the White House to open her own prominent crisis management firm. She has a team of individuals who are considered dysfunctional, yet they put their specialized skills together to get the job done.
Olivia’s accomplished staff include Harrison Wright, a slick litigator; Huck, hacker extraordinaire; and investigator Abby Whelan.
Let me break down how the show relates to your recruitment:
